Writing to Heal

“I wrote myself towards a stronger version of myself.”

- Roxane Gay

Research indicates that writing is a self-reflective tool. It can help us understand overwhelming emotions and make sense of significant life events and challenges. If you identify as a woman of color and you are struggling with any of these issues, then this group is for you! Writing to Heal is a four-week therapeutic writing group facilitated by Sekai (She/Her). Sekai is a clinically licensed social worker (LMSW) and holds an MFA in creative writing. Each session is virtual and meets from 6-7pm on Sundays. The next Writing to Heal group starts January 11, 2026 and runs through February 1, 2026. No writing experience is required!

Information/Registration: Sekai at 734.678.7802 (text) or email sekai.wardpsychotherapy@gmail.com

Cost: $120 for the four-week session. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
